Down with FOX

I effin' hate FOX...seriously I do. It's run by a bunch of right wing wack jobs for one. And mainly they don't know a good thing when they have it. Remember Family Guy? Yeah, they axed that...only to realize that they were dumbasses, so they begged to get it back...sadly the people at Family Guy gave in.

Now they've gone and axed one of the (if not the) funniest shows on TV...my beloved Arrested Development. That pisses me off. Just because people don't understand quality TV these days doesn't mean they have to go and ax some of the last remaining scripted shows. I'm sure they'll be replacing it with some stupid reality crap like "Meet Your New Cannibal Mommy" or some stupid shit like that.

I HATE REALITY TV. It doesn't show reality, it shows crap. What happend to the good old sitcom? Because of reality TV I've lost Arrested Development, and will sadly, probably lose Scrubs after this season (it was just barely picked up for it's 5th). Dumbasses.

If you never got to experience Arrested Development, then I'm sorry...for it was absolutely brilliant.

I'd seriously boycott FOX...if it weren't for Prison Break...though I'm sure they'll manage to run that one into the ground too...*sigh*

Happy Early Halloween!

Happy early Halloween everyone!

It was absolutely gorgeous today...in the 60s and beautiful.
Spent almost all of it indoors though (boo!). I have a biology
exam tomorrow that deserves all my attention...hasn't gotten a lot of
it yet though I'm afraid. I have an excuse though! We had
trick-or-treat for tots tonight, and I was a participant.
Basically the University opens up the dorms to the public from 6-8 so
little kids have a safe place to come get candy with their
parents. I saw some very cute little kids, with some very cute
little costumes. I love kids!

Found out over the weekend, that we're probably going to be moving
early next summer to South Carolina. My dad got an amazing job
oppertunity down there that he's enthusiastically taken. My
parents both feel very certain that we'll be moving (granted that
everything goes well), but they want to wait and make sure it all works
out and wait for Katie to graduate. I have mixed feelings about
it all. The area sounds absolutely amazing (very high class) and
my dad is so excited and happy about it all, and it's great to see him
like that (especially considering the past few months). At the
same time I'll miss mo-town and the pool and all of my friends!
It's going to be sad breaking the news to them...

Alright, I was going to post a vent...but that'll have to wait for another time. I need to study...blargh.
Prison Break

Wowzer. I am in love with this show. It is just...wow. And who can deny the goodlookingness of Wentworth? I mean c'mon, the guy is gorgeous. And the show is amazing...seriously. Ever since I saw previews for it earlier in the year, I wanted to see it, but I never thought I'd be this hooked...I am though. I adore it. *sigh* So much better than that Alias crap. It's nice having several amazing shows to occupy my time with, rather than one mediocre one.

Anyways, we got the first snow of the season up here today...can you believe it?! I couldn't. Very, very cold...and early for snow. Only flurries, but they did say that we might get a dusting by Wednesday...whoopie.

I will admit it was rather pretty though.

Alright...just about bedtime for me. Thought I'd give a quick update. :o)

Not Bad at All...

I've got to be honest, I was really not looking forward to my Serivce Learning Project. The whole premise was that we had to go to an oraganization in the community that deals with people living in poverty and we have to interview them. The organization that my partner and I got assigned to is very much religiously based...and there isn't anything wrong with that, they can be as religious as they want. It was just a little to preachy for my blood...and they were way unorganized. We've been trying to set up a time to go out there for over a month, and this was the first time that we were able to successfully interview someone.

The woman that we're interviewing is so sweet. I already adore her, after just spending like half an hour with her. She's 69 years old and has been married to the same man for 51 years. She's worked several odd jobs, but always kept her family in mind first and foremost. Her husband has been having kidney problems and when this first started happening 6 years ago, she retired and stayed at home taking care of all of his medical treatment, until it got too much for her...he's in the hospital now, and sadly it's not looking good.

I've got to say, that's the kind of relationship I want. I want to be with one person my whole life, and I want to have the love that these two obviously share. It's so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I can't wait to interview her again next Tuesday.

Anyways, that's about it. I've got to study, study, study here in a bit for religions of the world...then relax and maybe work on a card. Oh! On a light and fluffy note I read "If We Kiss..." last night by Rachel Vail, and I've got to say it is so cute! If you love chick-lit then check it out.

A Lovely Day in the Neighborhood...

Absolutely gorgeous outside...I love it! Hard to believe that I can be expecting some snow action in like a month *ugh*.

Not much going on around here, I must say. I'm actually just about to head out to do some "service learning" for an hour. Then I've got to study for my religions of the world midterm (last one though...woo-hoo!). Then I'll probably relax, because relaxation is good.

And hopefully I can get to watch Nip/Tuck, because I love that show.

Don't worry, more later!

Holy Bejesus!

Wow...it's been a while...like a long while. Sorry guys! I've kinda forgotten about this thing (as I often tend to do), and just well, have been a lazy ass.

I'm going to try to be better...I promise!

So look forward to that!

Anyways, in a nutshell I had an awesome summer and I'm having an awesome time at school now that I'm back (and now that my boyfriend is up there with me). I've given up on Alias (waits a moment until the shock wears off). Seriously, I have. The show has gone down the crapper, and I refuse to sit by and watch that happen...so I haven't watched since the premiere...but more on that in a later entry.

Don't worry, I'll get you guys caught up!

Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures...

Alright, first off, let me start this by saying that I normally WOULD NOT be doing this. I don't give into all that stupid 'save this' crap. Like all those message people send you on AIM...give me a break, like sending that to 10 of your friends in the next 5 minutes would keep AOL from charging you a monthly fee...idiots.

That being said, Arrested Development (one of the absolute funniest shows on tv [would only be second to scrubs]...if not the funniest) is in serious trouble. It's gotten critical acclaim and has a strong devoted fan base...but sadly, not a lot of them.

Rumors have been circulating for months about it being cancelled or 'not re-newed' for it's third season...but lately it seems more and more like that is what's going to happen.

If you haven't watched the show, it's hilarious and I highly reccomend it. I'm not sure if FOX will repeat the episodes from this past season...but you can always buy or rent the first season.

I'm not sure if this will help, but there's a website out there that is devoted to trying to get FOX to not be dumb and make the same mistake they made when they cancelled Family Guy...http://saveourbluths.com/

So if you love the show (like me) or are at least midly interested go on there and see if there's something you can do.

I F'N HATE SNOW!!!

Dammit...it's April 24th and there's 6 inches of snow on the ground at my good ole University. I have a week left of school before SUMMER vacation, and yet...snow. I HATE IT.

Anyways, the anni-birth-sary (as Jon called it) was lovely. I got some very nice things...really cute SUMMER clothes (which sadly I haven't gotten to wear yet, and who knows when I'll be able to), perfume, money, jewelry, the first season of Arrested Development (which I adore!! what an awesome show), and some other things from my family. Jon got me this awesome Kasey Kahne shirt (it is really cute for all you fans out there...and one I had never seen before), the second season of 24, and a really, really, really sweet card. The gifts were made even sweeter because he hates NASCAR (and especially Kasey Kahne...because he's my favorite), and he also hates 24 (but I am determined to get him hooked on that...it'll just take a little work).

The rest of the weekend has been nice too...if not chilly. Making plans to move out of the dorm, and find room in my bedroom for all my stuff, especially with the new bed and furniture in there. It shouldn't be too hard I guess...a lot of it won't have to go in the room...the TV is the big thing. I've never had a TV in my room before, so that will be nice. Dad said they'll get a wireless network thing (since I don't have cable running to my room), and I'm going to get a DVD player. I also need to get a DVD holder, for my ever accumulating mass of boxed sets and DVDs...next on the list is the first season of Scrubs, and possibly Closer.

Oh! The Bobcats/Pistons game was a ton of fun! I had such a good time. Bobcats won!!! Which was awesome. Jon and I didn't win any of the really cool prizes...but that was alright. Jon and I are already planning on getting tickets for sometime next season when the Bobcats will be at their brand new arena...which is going to be amazing.

And I got my hair all chopped off...I mean seriously short...shortest I've probably ever had it...about chin length. I love it though, really cute. I'll post a picture whenever I can manage to take a good one.

You went there and loved it, or you hate everyone who did.

You know the best BBQ is found in Lexington

You would rather eat at Bojangles's than McDonald's

You have actually uttered the phrase "It's too hot to go to the pool"

You faithfully drink Pepsi or Mt. Dew everyday of your life.

You have your own secret bbq sauce.

You or your neighbors have more hunting dogs than you have family members.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from North Carolina.

Get Your Own "You Know You're From" Meme Here

More cool things for your blog at
Blogthings

Hmmm...almost every thing in there is true. Seriously. Even if they don't apply to me...they're still true, as sad as that may be. I don't say "y'all", but almost everyone else does (I guess that comes from being a native Virginian). None of my neighbors have a confederate flag...but that doesn't mean there aren't any in my town. Take a walk in my old high school on any given day you'll see about 30 plastered all over t-shirts.

And some of them are sooo true! We do go to the mountains to look at leaves. I do have a strong opinion about UNC (hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em!). Krispy Kreme does make the best doughnuts...duh. I can't function without a Mt. Dew in my system...it's like my coffee in the morning. I have said "It's too hot to go to the pool"...but that's mainly because I work there, and don't get to actually get in the pool, unless I have to rescue someone. In the summer we do have home-grown tomatoes with every meal (well, I don't...I hate tomatoes). We were first in flight! The plane took off here, not in Ohio. And the Coca-Cola 600 is AWESOME...especially since I might be going this year...or maybe to the all star shoot out...who knows. Charlotte is going all out with a week's worth of festivites including some free concerts with awesome bands like Three Doors Down and Three Days Grace. And speaking of NASCAR...poor Kasey Kahne he was doing so well today after winning yesterday...then crashed. It was sad.

t was lovely today. Went and played tennis with Jon. We sucked, and gave the people watching us something to laugh about. But I had a really good time...tennis is fun...even if you do suck.

This week is going to be all screwy. For one it is the last full week of classes which is AHHHHH! I can't believe my first year of college is almost over...goodness. So I'm going back up to school tomorrow morning. I have class and all of that good stuff. Then I'm coming back home Tuesday morning to get my hair cut. I wanted to get it down this week and before the craziness of the weekend, so it worked out to be Tuesday...which is fine, I don't have class or anything...but it seems silly. So then, I'll go back to school Tuesday night and go to class on Wednesday. I'm skipping my last Wednesday class (psychology) so I can come home and get ready to go see the Bobcats/Pistons game that night with Jon (which should be sooo much fun!). I can't wait...and you should see a list of the prizes they're giving away...wowzer (trips to the bahamas and williamsburg, watches, cars, etc...plus everyone gets a free t-shirt). We probably won't win anything...but if you've seen the attendence at a Bobcats game, then actually our chances might not be that bad. The grandparents also come in Wednesday for the big birthday celebration (or not). Thursday is my birthday...so the day will be filled with birthdayish things. Like Mom and I going to pick up my Coldstone ice-cream cake (*drool*...you guys seriously have no idea how freaking good this cake is going to be). It's also my year anniversary with Jon...so that's very happy and special. I'm not sure what we're doing about dinner...it's up to me. Hmmm...either out somewhere or have the parents cook whatever I want...I'll have to think about that. Then Friday all my classes are cancelled...except one, which I would skip, but we're having an exam. So back to school for that one stupid class (which isn't really stupid, since it is my favorite class...I love political science)...then home to relax for the weekend before my exams...but I'm not thinking about those.

Hmmm...alright, that was WAY longer than I ever intended...so it's time to go now. I got to get some sleep in me so I can be at least semi-compentant while I drive back up to school in the morning!

Update...

Haven't updated in quite sometime...well, I guess like a week...so here's an update.

I'm not even sure what's been going on...umm, we've had some nice weather...I even got to wear shorts last weekend. First shorts of the season...woo-hoo! But then there were snow flurries last night...today was pretty though. Went driving around to enjoy all the pretty springyness...ahh, I love spring.

Started packing up my stuff yesterday for home. My side of the room is looking pretty barren. Kinda sad, but kinda not. It'll be nice to be home for the summer. Plus this rooming situation wasn't ideal.

I'm being inducted into the Honors Fraternity tomorrow night. I guess it'll be fun? As fun as you can have getting dressed up and not having much fun... If that makes sense. Won't be bad though, free food...and it'll look oh so good on my transcript.

Next week will be lovely. Bobcats game, anniversary, birthday, grandparents done to visit...yay for all of that goodness!

So Alias was completely awesome last night...

I looooved last night's episode! It was sooo exciting and good. Definitely one of my favorite episodes of the season...even with the lack of SV, but their one scene was great. So at first I thought I was right all along and Bill Vaughn was alive. Even though I didn't want him to be alive, I was happy that I was right. But then was probably even happier that he was dead...felt bad for Vaughn, but we've already played out the 'he's dead...and then all of a sudden alive' storyline numerous times. So, badass Vaughn was kinda cool, we don't get to see that often...unless he's on a mission or protecting Syd. I HATED the blonde chick though. That girl needed to lay off him. I loved his line..."Condsider this the second time you've been rejected by the CIA." Too good! I'm not sure what's going on with Katya...somethings not right about that...and I refuse to believe Irina is all good...she did shoot her daughter. And the whole second Arvin Sloane thing...WHOA! I never saw that coming...and I even knew the title of next weeks episode "Another Mister Sloane". Craziness...so does that mean that all that's been happening is because of the Sloane Clone and the real Sloane is good? Nah...Sloane will never be good. And I loved Marshall! All concerned for Jack...it's soo cute! Jack needs to listen to him...don't want anything to happen to spydaddy! Now for the SV moment...awwww. Of course it wasn't as good as the "I love you" punch scene or dancing...but it's up there. Vaughn-He could never leave the ones he loved. Syd-How do you know? Vaughn-Because neither could I. AWWWW. They love each other...and are actually showing it! About damn time! I love Alias...

Alrighty...I guess that's about it for now.

More sometime.

I remember...

After coming down off of my Alias high, I remember some of the other things I was going to post.

Yesterday I rode up to the parkway...oh man it was soo pretty! And such a nice drive with the windows open (and 75 degree weather). Found some really nice places to go hiking. Jon and I will have to do that sometime...when we're both off. Then came back to the dorm and watched The Office and Scrubs...those two shows are sooo funny!

Then today I had class. Then went to Wally World and bought the first season of Dark Angel for only $14.44...that is so awesome (thanks to my sweetie for telling me about it...even though he just bought it because of Jessica Alba)! It's six discs too! I don't know if you guys watched Dark Angel...but it was my favorite show pre-Alias. The first two seasons were awesome...and then after that it got way too weird for me...and I think it aired opposite of Alias...and I couldn't give up Alias. But still I got to add to my boxed set collection with a completely awesome show at a really awesome price!

Went to the mall after that and tried on bikinis...ugh. I'm not in bathing suit shape...and I really need to get a tan before I can show my pasty self in a bikini. Oh well, some of them actually did look decent on me...so I guess that's good. Even though I'm not sure about getting a bikini. Last time I wore one I was 5 and my mom was picking out my clothes. I haven't worn once since. Too embarrassed, I suppose.

After that relaxed in the dorm until Alias, and you already know my thoughts on that!

Ok, time for some Dark Angel watchage!

Oh...My...God

I don't even know what to say. I forgot everything else I was going to post here...due to an AMAZINGLY AWESOME ALIAS!! Holy Crap...I've just got to post it...because seriously...wow.

Alright...this episode was just...WOW. I mean how else to describe it. I loved last weeks (yay for all of these wonderful season 1 like eppys!), but this one kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time (or technically my bed...since that was where I was sitting). So it starts with Vaughn having this awful nightmare, and then he wakes up all sweaty next to Syd (can we say awww). Then they wake up and live in domestic bliss. Reading the paper, and Syd helped him get dressed. They do have a little fight...but you know, it was one of those cute domestic fights. Anyways, so Vaughn gets new info on his dad (injects himself with a strange liquid...crazy boy). Then blah blah blah (and the 'blah blahs' are all good things...just can't remember all the details until I watch it again), Syd, Vaughn and Jack go on a mission. Jack gets hit by a ton of radiation to save Syd (I love spydaddy...even if he is up to no good). Vaughn and Syd meet up and he kisses her (awww) and then he tells her he loves her (Vaughn: I love you Syd: Yeah? Still?). Which kinda made me mad...I mean, hello, you have Michael Vaughn saying he loves you and you don't even have the decency to say it back...c'mon (but then again, she did say she loved him last year...though not to him)! Anyways, so she says something like "Still want to do this" and then he punches her. She gets up with a bloody lip. So, they had all of this planned, so Vaughn could escape to go find his dad and Syd wouldn't get in trouble. I'm so glad we finally had the I love yous! (JJ must be reading my journal...see last weeks review). I actually think the I love yous, could've happened last week too...this whole switching up the eps is confusing. But then again it makes sense. Because it doesn't seem like Tuesday should've come between Nightingale and Pandora to bein with. Oh well, not as screwed up as airing WTLV wayyyy before it should've been aired. So I'm really worried about Vaughn...like super worried. I'm afraid this dad thing is going to eat at him like what happened with Lauren...we can't have that! And, by the previews next week it looks like he gets awfully friendly with some blonde chick (who is NOT Syd). That's not good. And I will not tolerate it. Such an awesome episode though! Can't wait to watch it again!!

Alright time for some calming down after that episode of Alias...man I love that show.

AHHHHH!

I am like the WORST DMB fan EVER!! I completely forgot tickets went on sale yesterday...BLAH!

But, I guess, in all honesty, it wouldn't have mattered if I had remembered anyways. I'm broke...until my b-day. So I wouldn't have been able to buy them anyways.

Right now I can hope for one of two things to happen. 1) I get tickets for my birthday. 2) The concert doesn't sell out, so when I get money I'm able to buy them.

I really want to go. I missed last year's and it made me sad. Hopefully I'll make it. Maybe dad's boss will be looking to give his away again...

Movies and Movies.

It's snowing in Boone...YUCK!

Anyways, went and saw Sin City last night. I loved it! It was really good. It was shot brilliantly, and really looked like it came straight from a comic book. It was so good. Kept my attention the entire time...I didn't even check my watch once (which is really saying something, because even in movies I enjoy, I usually check my watch at least once). I don't want to give anything away to those of you who haven't seen it, so I'll leave it at the awesome thing. But it is kinda gory, even though it isn't. I mean there's a lot of violence, but since it's not in color the blood is white and that kind of thing. So you really don't get a sense of the gore. And there's nudity for all you guys out there...female nudity.

Didn't do too much today. Too cold and windy...BLAH! Ran some errands and went and rented Closer...and oh man, what an amazing movie. It feels weird to say that 'I loved it'...because it was so messed up, and so completely depressing. Not a real feel good movie. I didn't cry...not really a crying movie either...mainly because you really can't feel sorry for any of the characters...leaves you kinda numb though. Just not a movie that leaves you all warm and fuzzy. Still amazing though. I actually think I might watch it again if I get disgusted with the basketball game (ie if Carolina pulls out into a big lead...let's go Michigan State!). One of my favorite quotes from it (I don't know why, but it kinda amused me): "That's the spirit. Thank you. Thank you for your honesty. Now fuck off and die, you fucked up slag."

Hmm...just realized Clive Owen is in both of those movies. I have a theme going on and didn't even realize it. Nothing wrong with that.

Alrighty...going to enjoy the quiet alone time and watch the game.

Oh, and the song I have as my 'music' is the song from the Sin City trailers...really awesome.

April is going to be a very nice month. Classes end the 27th...which is awesome. Bobcats/Pistons game with Jon on the 20th. I turn 19 on the 21st. And the 21st (more importantly) is Jon and my anniversary. <3 So yay for that! <3

Alrighty...just wanted to wish everyone a Happy April...but now it's bed time!

I've Been Banned...

Jon has this clever idea to ban me from saying certain words and phrases...the list is too long to put on here. I do suppose, I say a lot of the same things (on AIM). Like 'definitely'. I say definitely a lot...but now it's been banned. I think the whole thing is very silly (and mind you, silly has been banned as well...or at least placed on the 'watch list'). It's a double standard though. I'm not allowed to ban anything he says...which is totally not fair. Blah...better start reading the dictionary, because before you know it I won't be allowed to say anything (which is probably his ultimate goal).

Had a very nice day yesterday. It was soooo gorgeous! Hard to believe they're calling for a chance of snow on Saturday. It was like 70 degress...I loved it! After I got done with class, I decided to go on a nice drive. First I went to Wally World and the Mall. Didn't buy anything...though I did try on some super cute spaghetti strapped silky top things at Belk. I was tempted to buy one, but my birthday is very soon...so I'll wait. Then I drove to Tennessee. Mainly because I had driven east, last week, so I thought I'd try west. I'm only like 15 minutes from the border...didn't know it was that close. Tennesse is soooo pretty! Not that North Carolina isn't. But there was something about it that was gorgeous. All the winding roads with rich foliage, and little creeks and a gorgeous lake! I loved it! Definitely need to go back and go hiking or something. Managed to get to Bristol to see the race track...it was huge! And out in the middle of nowhere, but it's really big and there were lots of people camping out for the race this weekend. Might have to see a race there sometime.

Then I came back to the dorm for pizza and Alias...a lovely combination.

Alias was incredibly good. Definitely the best self contained episode...ever. The self contained episodes were beginning to piss me off (even though the new ones had something in common with Vaughn's dad). But this one was awesome. Right from the opening scence...salsa dancing. That's hot. Reminded me of Kaylan and her flaminco dancing. I loved seeing Carrie and Mitchell, oh how I missed them! Marshall is such a sweet dad. Then the phone conversation between Syd and Vaughn about dancing was too cute!! I loved the flirtiness of it. We haven't seen them flirt like at all this season. I means sure we had the spy shower sex scene...but that's hardly fliritng, just going at it. Awww...Vaughn wanted to take her dancing even though he hates it. He loves her (even though he doesn't say it...but we'll get to that). The being buried in the coffin was creepy. I think everyone has a fear of being buried alive. YUCK! And with a dead guy right beside you. I did like the plug of the Razr though...neat phone. Absolutely loved the Marshall exchanges and the fact that he had to come save the day. He's adorable. And loved how Jack had to give him instructions on how to remove the guy's eyeballs properly "be gentle...like a softboiled egg" and "what's a spork"...hilarious! And then, the final scene...let's just let out a big AWWWWWW! Dancing in the train station...now that was like the sweetest thing ever! The train station because that's where one of the absolute best shipper moments occurred, and dancing. It was so sweet. I'm sure the people at the train station thought they were crazy...but I thought it was unbelievably sweet. Hmm...I wonder if when they get married (and yes when, not if) they'll tie the knot at the train station...that'd be cute! Alright, now time for my one gripe of the show...the whole I love you thing. I mean c'mon! Can they not say it?! Geez, after all they've been through, you think they could say those 3 little words. But no, we've only heard it like twice. Once was a dream sequence in 'Conscious' when they were in ambulance and Vaughn said "And I thought God, don't let me miss my chance to tell her how much I love her" and Syd said: "I love you too". And then when Syd slept with Will in season 3 she said she was still in love with Vaughn...but that's it!! Us poor shippers! I mean, in last night's episode for all they knew Syd could've died (and she almost did, had Marshall not done CPR)...but there was no I LOVE YOU! At the train station, he could've whispered it to her. This anti-I love you crap is getting annoying. They need to say it, and say it good. Definitely by the end of the season. But other than that, a very awesome episode! I was pleased.

Alrighty. I guess I should get some work done!

Funny Funny

"Really. I mean, it would be kid of presumptuous of him. You guys have not even been going out for a year. I don't think anyone should Do It with a guy unless they've been going out for at least a year. And then they have to Do It for the first time on prom night. Because when you Do It for the first time, the boy should be wearing a tux. It's only polite."

I heart the Princess Diaries...sooo funny!

"Guys in college expect their girlfriends to DO IT"

I got the new Princess Diaries book today! (I feel like a dork, since I'm almost 19) They're so cute though! I adore them, they're just light and fluffy and funny, and a nice quick read. I imagine I'll finish it tonight. I usually read them the day I get them...can't help it though. This one already seems adorable and I'm only on page 56. Don't want to give anything away...but poor Mia, always stressing about things she doesn't need to.

Also got a new purse. Mom insisted on getting it (since we both have purse fetishes). It's cute and simple. Just a lime green staw one with beads on the straps. Really cute, and lime green is so IN right now. It'll match a lot of the stuff I wear, I'm a green person.

Not much else going on. Tried to spend a lot of the day outside, since it was so lovely and now they're calling for rain all weekend...blah. Good TV on tonight though...Scrubs, The Office, and The Shield. So that's good.

And SIN CITY on Friday...yay!! That movie looks really good. I don't know if Jon was too sure about it, but I do believe seeing Jessica Alba play a stripper earned it some major bonus points.

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter break and a lovely evening.

Doobie Doobie Dooo...

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter filled with un-Godly amounts of candy! I know the East Bunny visited me, and left lots of chocolate, cadbury eggs, peeps, and a very cute t-shirt from Aeropostle with hearts on it...(thanks Mommy) ;o).

My Aunt, Uncle, and 3 cousins came and visited Friday and Saturday from Ohio. It was nice seeing them. The guys are pretty cool. I didn't even see the older ones (Kyle, 15 and Reilly, 14) much at all. They spent most of Saturday golfing with their dad. Did see a lot of my Aunt and Mackenzie, 11. My Aunt just annoys me so much sometimes. Nothing is ever good enough for her. Like Saturday we went to Boone so she could see App and do some shopping (great shops up there). Anyways, it was supposed to rain, but actually turned out to be a nice day...not nice enough for her. It wasn't warm enough or sunny enough, and it wasn't flat enough. I mean geez, it's in the MOUNTAINS. Boone sits on top of a MOUNTAIN...of course it's not flat. She walked around for like 2 hours and could complain...she should try walking to class in the snow.

And then she asked me what my major was, and I told her political science. So then she said, "Well, I guess you'll be going into sales." And I told her that no, actually I was hoping to work for a media organization or a governmental position. And she laughed and said there was no way, almost everyone who majors in poli sci goes into sales. Then my Mom, being wonderful and trying to back me up, told her that I was interested in the CIA and was going to apply for some internships in Washington DC and New York for next year. And my Aunt was just being a real witch about it. I mean, I know my chances aren't that good of getting a really good government position. But I like to think that I have just as good a chance as anyone if I work hard. She can just bring everyone down.

Oh well. Had a nice lazy day yesterday. Watched basketball and Jon came over, it was very nice.

Today was lovely too. Mom and I went shopping. Had to drop Dad's demo off at work and then went to Wally World where she bought me Star magazine (because I'm addicted to tabloids). Then we went to Hickory, where she bought everyone presents. She bought herself and Katie new purses, my dad a shirt, and me some new bras and panties. It might seem silly, but it made me so happy. There's something about new underwear that just makes your day...especially if it's very cute.

Hope everyone has a very nice night! :o)

>:o

Dammit! I'm being written up...for something I didn't even freaking do. These girls on my hall decided to throw all their alcoholic beverages in the bathroom trash, and the cleaning lady discovered them, so until someone confesses, everyone is getting written up for it. And of course the two girls who did it aren't going to confess because they could get in a lot more trouble if they do. And I could turn them in, but I have no proof (even though Kristen and I know it was them...as does everybody on the hall...considering they get drunk every night), so I couldn't do anything.

This pisses me the hell off. DAMMIT! And to top it off I have to study all damn day for my exams tomorrow. I can't freaking wait to get off this hall next year and away from these annoying people.

New Streetlights?

I think they installed new streetlights on the road my dorm is on. I've been looking out the window all night and I think it's brighter, but then again I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just losing my mind.

We had some wicked thunderstorms last night! I mean like crazy. The thunder woke me up at least 3 times during the night. One time I woke up and yelled to 'my dad'. I thought I was at home and he was banging on the door to get me up. Craziness. The lightening was intense too...lit up the whole sky.

Watched Alias tonight...pretty good.

So, I guess I wasn't too impressed. It was good...not great. I guess since I'm not much of a Nadia fan then it really didn't interest me. I did find it hypocritical that she told Syd that she needed to be more understanding of Sloane, yet Roberto betrayed Nadia and she was 'understanding' by killing him...go figure. I did love the SV kiss! An office kiss again!!! That is a major step. And the way Vaughn looked at her when she was figuring out the encryptions, it was so cute, like she just keeps impressing him. I also liked Vaughn's storyline a lot...the stuff about his father is really interesting, and I don't think anyone knows what's going to happen with that. Marshall was hilarious too...he's adorable. Next week's Alias looks so awesome! Being buried alive...*shiver*...majorly creepy. And if you've seen the AOL Promo then you know the amazingly sweet and awesome shipper moment, all about dancing...awwww! Vaughn is going to take Syd dancing! If you haven't seen the AOL Promo...check it out...like now!

Blah...lots of work to do tomorrow. 2 exams and a quiz on Friday...but then after that 4 day weekend...and the Easter Bunny comes...woo-hoo!! That'll be nice...4 day weekends are always nice!

Happy Spring!

I know I'm 2 days late on the happy spring thing, but better late than never. Had a nice weekend. Mom and I did go to the practice! It was a lot of fun! Got to see all the Duke players up close and personal...no autographs though, but that's ok. And Duke advanced to the Sweet Sixteen! YAY! I love March Madness.

Easter Break this weekend...a four day weekend will be nice, especially since it's our last break until classes end in April. I have family coming down and it'll be nice to see them. (All of you people from aa...sorry I haven't updated in forever, things have been crazy!...I'll try to get new chapters up over break).

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood. A little chilly though, especially compared to yesterday's 'heat wave'. Rain is moving in tonight though (but at least it's not snow).

Jon is coming up in a bit to go look for an apartment. I don't think I put it in here, but if I did, ignore this, he got into App! So yay! It'll be nice having him close by. So when he gets up here we're going to go check out some apartments and get lunch and all of that good stuff.

Alrighty, I don't have much else to say! Hope everyone has a lovely day.
